Reaction Agility is about championing that one should gauge a company’s ability to react to changes in the marketplace. It is often said a company is “going agile” in order to react to changes in the market faster, yet this is never measured. Agile metrics are often completely focused on the development portion.
Human beings adjust behavior based on the metrics they’re held against. Anything you measure will impel a person to optimize his score on that metric. What you measure is what you’ll get. Period.
